Presentation at the Ruusbroec Institute

Dr. Natalia Núñez Bargueño, as part of her Marie Skłodowska-Curie project TheoFem, will present new reflections on Catholic laywomen’s international organizations during the early Cold War and Decolonization era (1945–1962). This presentation will take place on Friday, January 21st (16h-18h) at the Ruusbroec Institute (University of Antwerp), which is celebrating its centenary.

Dr. Núñez Bargueño’s research critically examines the overlooked contributions and stereotypical representations of Catholic laywomen’s international activism in this period.

She will share this space with Maite de Beukeleer, whose work offers insightful and innovative perspectives into the history of women «auxiliaires».

For those interested in joining the discussion, registration is available here: Ruusbroec Institute Centenary Event

Stay tuned: updates and project outcomes will be regularly available on this website as Dr. Núñez Bargueño has already started working on preparing the first posts for the Digital Archive of Women.
